FRIITZ is a conceptual cycle of albums telling the story of Sophie Friitz. This album was presented as a listening experience and included a small book that accompanied the listening. Originally scored as a live performance it was recorded and edited to accommodate a more inclusive experience during Covid. The event was held through the Anderson Gallery in Richmond, VA. FRIITZ I is the second album made in the cycle. It’s story continues immediately after FRIITZ. Unlike the first, it was not created with the intention of ever being played live.
